P3AK Personal is not a consumer app. It is a personal data infrastructure layer — a vault that sits on your machine, encrypts your most sensitive records, classifies them automatically across six sectors of a human life, and makes them searchable, shareable (on your terms), and portable forever.

Open Protocol

The Living Health Record

The LHR protocol is P3AK's open standard for structured personal health records. It is co-authored with uCTRL and designed to extend — not compete with — FHIR. The .lhr file format is the reference implementation.

Unlike FHIR (designed for healthcare system interoperability) the LHR protocol is designed for individual ownership: a format that a person creates, stores, shares, and revokes access to, without any healthcare system as intermediary. A therapy session note. A lab result email turned into a structured record. A medication change. Annotated by the person, owned by the person.

.lhr Format Specification

A .lhr file is a plain text file with two parts: a JSON frontmatter block delimited by ---json / ---, followed by a markdown body. The frontmatter carries the structured clinical metadata; the body carries the human-readable narrative.

Consent Tokens

A consent token is a signed, scoped, time-limited authorization issued by you to grant a specific party access to a defined subset of your vault.

When Dr. Sarah Chen needs your therapy records for a referral, you don't email a PDF. You issue a consent token scoped to your SOMA sector, expiring in 30 days, granting read-only access. If she changes clinics, you revoke it in one command. The vault is the source of truth. The token is the key.

How Consent Tokens Work

Cryptographic Trust Model

Consent tokens are cryptographically bound to the issuing vault via HMAC-SHA256:

Technical Architecture

How it's built

P3AK Personal shares the entire technical foundation of P3AK Enterprise. The same binary, the same vault format, the same search algorithms. What changes is the taxonomy layer: enterprise vaults use a 10-store classifier; personal vaults use a six-sector classifier.

Personal Classification Engine

The personal classifier uses a weighted keyword scoring model across six sector tables. It requires no LLM call — purely rule-based, deterministic, and fast.

Documents scoring below the minimum confidence threshold remain unclassified. Run p3ak-vault classify --only-missing to classify only new documents.

Encryption

Personal vaults use the same AES-256-GCM encryption as enterprise vaults. Every section is independently encrypted and authenticated. The vault_id (used as HMAC key material for consent tokens) is stored inside the encrypted header section.

SOMA is the most urgent sector in P3AK Personal. It holds the longitudinal health record that every person should have but no healthcare system provides: your complete health story, owned by you, accessible to you in thirty seconds.

SOMA documents are classified by weighted signals including: PHQ-9, GAD-7, diagnosis, therapy, medication, prescription, lab results, ICD-10, clinical, mental health, CBT, SSRIs, vaccination, vitals.

SOMA document types

Mental health records carry the most sensitive classification: SOMA / mental_health. These documents have access level restrictions and appear in consent token scopes with the highest scrutiny recommendation.

SHIELD holds your legal identity — the documents that speak for you when you cannot. Most people's estate plans are outdated, their healthcare proxies are unfiled, and nobody knows where their will is. SHIELD makes this impossible.
